Mark:
Position: President

Mark grew up in the UK around a family of business minded people, all with businesses in various fields. One area of business that had Mark fully driven was his father’s business that involved working around cars in many different ways. At a young age, Mark had a real rush for motorsport and at the age of 13 was the UK go kart champion, growing his career further into the UK Ford racing series finishing 3rd in the UK championships. The love and passion for cars developed further and Mark pursued various levels of automotive paths from owning and operating the largest UK import car dealerships to being trained by Rolls Royce to hand panel beat, paint, sand and polish. Mark retired at 40 but from the fulfilled success in business he could not stop and his drive and passion had him work alongside his son Alex who now develops the Waxedshine brand available today.
Mark plays an active daily role in the operations of Waxedshine and is always available when the team needs to chat about new ideas and developments.

Alex:
Position: Co-Owner / Product Development

Growing up in the UK around his Dad Mark, there is no surprise that Alex had “anything with an engine” in his blood. From the age of 13, you would find Alex with a Makita in his hands, working on cars at his Dad’s dealerships. Alex was always known as the boy who polishes Ferraris and the common saying was “That machine is almost as big as you”. After graduating from school in the UK, Alex continued his education in Vancouver, Canada where he achieved a Diploma in IT and during the 3 year process had also opened a successful detailing shop which fed his passion on the side. Word spread about Alex’s abilities with a machine and he was getting the first of new car models into Canada as he was known for his high attention to detail. With the vast variations of paintwork, clear coat and surfaces Alex worked on he began learning the process of formulating products to achieve the highest level of results. Here at Waxedshine, we will never forget the first time he presented his Carnauba wax that he had hand blended at home in his kitchen. Not only was it a home run, the first batch sold out quickly and it was then that Alex said “Im going to see what else I can create”. This is where the birth of the first phase of products started. Local enthusiasts got wind that Alex was developing new formulations and smaller brands started approaching for him to create blends for them. As the demand for the products grew rapidly, the Waxedshine range was formed with a full line to follow.
Alex is responsible for not only the development of the products but everything from artwork of the labels to the website design and marketing.
